Arab City Schools Foundation
Arab City Schools Foundation provides grants each year to teachers, encouraging creativity in the classroom and enhancing the learning experience for children. Over the past 15 years, the foundation has granted more than $100,000 in support of education initiatives in the Arab City School System.
The foundation is managed by the Chamber of Commerce and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, comprised of community and business leaders.
Businesses interested in supporting Arab City Schools Foundation through a tax deductible gift, can simply download a pledge form and return the form, along with their financial contribution, to the chamber, c/o Arab City Schools Foundation, PO Box 626, Arab, AL 35016.
Individuals can also donate to the foundation monthly through their Otelco phone bills. Just a few dollars a month quickly adds up to a sizeable yearly gift that is tax deductible.
Applications for teacher grants for 2011 are being accepted now through mid September. Click here to download the 2011 grant application. Grants will be awarded at the Chamber's Education Breakfast, sponsored by Regions Bank and scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 at the Arab Elementary School.
