Chamber Programs

The Chamber is working on a strategic plan that will carry us into the next three to five years. From this plan the Board will develop core Programs of Work which will center on our mission. Representatives from member businesses are encouraged to get involved in one or more of the following programs:

Our Focus Areas

The Chamber has developed two areas of focus: Business Development and Community and Education. Through these teams, chamber members can become more involved in the activities and events the chamber offers, as well as become more active in their community. Representatives from chamber member businesses are encouraged to join a team.

Business Development Team

The Business Development Team will focus on issues affecting both large and small businesses. In 2011 the team will focus on developing a seminar series for small businesses with topics to include how to launch a small business, human resources, and marketing on a budget. The team will also implement a CEO Roundtable and grow the networking opportunities offered through the Chamber. The team meets monthly at the Chamber. Community and Education Team

Focusing on how to integrate our business community with our education system will be the priority of this team for 2011. Developing programs where business leaders can share career opportunities and provide mentoring to our high school students, as well as offering other avenues for our businesses to partner with schools will be a few of the programs this team will work toward. Get Involved in Arab Chamber of Commerce

Early Morning Coffees

Monthly networking event hosted at various businesses in Arab. Light breakfast and coffee provided. Event is free to Chamber members. Held the first Wednesday of each month at 7:30 a.m.

Quarterly After Hour Events

Quarterly networking opportunity hosted at various businesses in Arab. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages served. Event is held four times a year from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and free to Chamber members. Dates vary. Visit the calendar for more information.

Chamber Ambassadors

Official representatives of the Chamber membership. Ambassadors help with ribbon cuttings, grand openings and various Chamber events including the Annual Banquet, Business Women’s Luncheon and the Christmas parade. Meets at the Chamber on the first Tuesday of each month.
